The Fashion Foundation is a fun environment with great leadership and plenty of motivated employees and volunteers. Most importantly, an internship with us would allow you to add volunteer experience with a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to your resume for future employers to see. If that is not enough to convince you that The Fashion Foundation is right for you, check out the feedback we recently received from one of our original interns, Haviland, as she talks about her experience with The Fashion Foundation:

When did your internship with The Foundation take place? What was your position and responsibilities?

Haviland: “My internship for The Fashion Foundation took place during my spring semester of my junior year at Manhattan College. I was the Special Events Intern. I researched many event spaces and schools to host potential pop-up shops. I also reached out to different bloggers to promote our great cause.”

What has your experience as an intern with The Foundation taught you?

Haviland: “My internship at The Fashion Foundation has taught me that so many students are in desperate need of school supplies. After having the opportunity to intern during two big school donations, it opened my eyes to see how many students are underprivileged.”

Would you recommend future students to apply and get involved with The Foundation?

Haviland: “Yes, I would recommend future students in college to get involved with The Fashion Foundation. It is a great cause that will help provide school supplies to students in need, which will help enhance their education. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to intern for The Fashion Foundation. It was a great experience for me.”

If you are interested in applying, please email info@thefashionfoundation.org. All applicants should also submit a resume and a brief letter explaining why they wish to intern with The Foundation. Although this is currently an un-paid internship, most of our previous interns have gained college credit from their accredited university. This will go a long way in helping you establish yourself as a serious young professional in your desired field of choice.
